JACKSON, Miss. – A third suspect in the death of a 69-year-old Jackson woman has turned himself over to police.
Antwain Dukes, 16, is charged with capital murder in the death of Carolyn Temple. Police said Dukes, Antreal Jones and Jerome Moore, both 17, robbed and shot Temple January 7 in the Belhaven area. She died Monday night.
Jones and Moore were arrested after a Tuesday standoff with police. The two were wanted for a carjacking; but during the investigation, police said they found evidence connecting them to Temple’s death. Both have been denied bond.
Detectives say the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
