COLLINSVILLE, Miss.–A father killed by his own son, is the situation deputies in Lauderdale County say they are dealing with this week after Donald Wayne Jones was found murdered in a Collinsville home. His son, Donald Wayne Jones, Jr., is charged with capital murder. Now another man’s name is in the arrest book.
Coy Lee Depriest was arrested Thursday and charged with accessory after the fact.
Sheriff Billy Sollie told media that the son had had run ins with deputies before after he stole from his father, and that appeared to be what happened this time, only it went further with the killing.
Depriest is charged with trying to unload some of the items that were stolen.
The investigation spanned to Lowndes County, where the victim lived.
Jones was on the run after the murder, but was quickly located after tips to deputies. He’s locked up without bail.
