A Terry man is behind bars after allegedly shooting and killing his wife on Christmas Eve.
Deputies with the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office responded Tuesday evening to a report of gunfire inside a home on Doc Henry Cove. While law enforcement confirmed at the time of the incident that a female sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead on the scene, it wasn’t until Christmas that the identities of those involved were released.
According to a social media announcement from Sheriff Tyree Jones, Timothy Wayne Tillman, 53, was charged with the murder of his wife, Dawn Marie Tillman, 65. Jones added that the motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
