North Mississippi
While a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect just north of the Tennessee border, North Mississippi will avoid the warnings today. Temperatures will hover around freezing in the morning, but they should continue to climb throughout the day. After some frost in the AM, the high will reach the mid-40s.
At night, temperatures will drop back down into the low 30s.
Central Mississippi
The central portion of the state is dealing with a Freeze Warning until 9 a.m. with temperatures remaining in the mid 20s until then. Continue to take the proper precautions in your home and on the roads.
After the warning expires, highs will reach nearly 50 degrees with sunny skies in the mid-afternoon before they drop back into the low 30s at night.
South Mississippi
You won’t see temperatures quite as low as the rest of the state, but there will be some frost throughout the morning. Temperatures will climb into the mid-50s in South Mississippi with sunny skies. Tonight, the frost will return with temperatures in the lower 30s.
