JACKSON, Miss. – If you are sick and live in a rural area, miles away from the nearest clinic, or you just are unable to get to a doctor, a new Telemedicine Bill in Washington may be able to help you.
“If you have a clinic or you have someone who needs in home healthcare, and they have their own internet provider and something resembling face time, they could connect with a healthcare professional somewhere to have them monitored, talked to, look at that patient,” said Representative Gregg Harper.
He says the Mississippi Broadband Connect Coalition is working toward a day where all rural areas in Mississippi will one day have access to high-speed internet.
