HURLEY, Miss.- A fatal car accident in Jackson County claimed the teenager’s life Monday evening. With an autopsy pending Tuesday morning, Deputy Coroner Jason Moody has identified the victim as Madeline Lyon, 17.
Mississippi Highway Patrol has stated that two others were involved in the two-car wreck. The 2007 Toyota Yaris was heading westbound on Highway 614, when the driver swerved into the path of an eastbound ’94 Nissan pick-up, colliding with the front of it.
The truck was being driven by 60-year-old Moss Point resident Cecil P. Davidson, who was taken to Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula with severe injuries. There was another teen girl in the passenger seat that was flown to the USA Medical Center in Mobile, however her identity has yet to be released.
