JACKSON, Miss.- On January 11, 13-year-old Jayveonne Price was arrested and charged with sexual battery and kidnapping according to Jackson Police Commander Tyree Jones.
Jones said the incident happened just a day before the arrest on Jan. 10 when Price reportedly kidnapped a four-year-old girl and took her to a wooded area where he sexually assaulted her.
The scene of the crime was close to the 2300 block of Forest Avenue in Jackson.
The girl suffered from non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital shortly after the incident.
“Price was arrested and charged and remains in custody without bond,” said Jones.
