A Tchula man is behind bars for allegedly shooting and killing his brother.
First reported by WJTV, Tchula police confirm that the gunfire rang out at a residence on Middle Street just before 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a victim deceased in the bedroom of the home with a gunshot wound.
The victim, identified as Demarcus Gray, is believed to have been shot in the head. A bullet shell was found underneath his body. However, authorities are waiting for an official autopsy to be released.
Gray’s unidentified brother has since been arrested in connection to the death. The two men are said to have been involved in an argument that led up to the lethal altercation.
