A gulf coast man says he is not guilty of viewing child pornography, even though he told federal agents that he had in-fact downloaded pictures relating to the subject.
The SunHerald reports that Peter Skladzien,57, was a contract worker for NASA when he was arrested in Houston in February. Federal agents tell the SunHerald that Skladzien was about to board a plane for Thailand.
The Bay St. Louis man entered his plea of not guilty on Friday. He’s currently being charged with two counts of child pornography. So far, federal agents have seized seven home computers and have identified 325 pictures relating to child pornography. The photos were identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). In those photos, investigators identified 51 child victims.
Agents also uncovered that Skladzien had made a trip to Thialand in 2016. And discovered that he had used a Paypal account to view a webcam which showed children performing sexual act.
Skladzien’s trial is set for May 15.
