A suspect has been taken into custody for a stabbing that took place on the campus of Mississippi State University Monday afternoon.
According to a report from the university, a Maroon Alert was sent out to faculty and students just before 4 p.m. due to an employee being stabbed in a car outside Herbert Hall. Police immediately responded to the scene.
Shortly afterward, MSU officials stated that a suspect had been taken into custody. The victim’s injury is believed to be non-life-threatening as no identities of those involved have been released yet.
The university has since cleared the area and lifted its campus-wide alert.
