D’IBERVILLE, Miss. – A D’Iberville high school student is in the hospital after school administrators said he and two other students could have possibly smoked spice during their lunch break Thursday.
Harrison County Schools Superintendent said the students, whose names were not released, all went to a truck where they were believed to have smoked the synthetic marijuana. A teacher saw them and police were called. He said the student who became sick may have been suffering from spice related problems, but his condition was not believed to be life threatening.
More than 500 spice-related emergency room visits have been reported in Mississippi since April 2.
