Where yesterday was calm and windy, today will be stormy and very active. The National Weather Service already releasing a severe thunderstorm watch through 17 counties North of I-20.
That watch will expire at noon today. It’s a good bet that you’ll see heavy winds, rain and possibly even some hail. The farther north you are, the more chance for severe weather you’re in for, so keep that in mind today as you work through your Tuesday.
That nasty line making impact in the most northern reaches of the Delta, and areas around Southaven throughout the 6 o’clock and 7 o’clock hour, then pushing eastward with a second round of even heavier storms for that area, spreading throughout the northern half of the state through the morning. You’ll see this system begin to weaken through the 11 o’clock and 12 o’clock hours.
After today, though, you’re in for a sunny and mild Wednesday and Thursday with a chance for rain to reappear on Friday.
