A tragic discovery was made by deer hunters yesterday afternoon around 2 P.M.
The hunters found the body of Mr. Johnnie Hall in the woods near Deep Creek Road which is about 5.5 miles from his house. Hall’s truck was also found nearby.
No cause of death has been identified and this is still under investigation.
Around 8:30 in the morning on September 19th was the last time 93-year-old Johnnie Hall was seen.
Hall was seen leaving his house in khaki pants, suspenders, and a black and brown and black plaid shirt. He is believed to be traveling in a white 2005 Ford F-150 with a Mississippi tag reading D868GL going in an unknown direction.
His family members say this is very unusual for him to be gone for long periods of time especially because he hated to drive.
Family members are asking anyone with any possible information to please come forward.
If you have any information, please call the Stone County Sheriff’s Department at 601-928-2800 or the Hall-Brown Family at 601-385-2187.
