State Auditor Shad White has officially announced his plans to run for reelection.
White, a Republican, has served as state auditor since 2018. During his four years in office, White’s office has played a vital role in putting a stop to the largest public fraud scheme in state history while recovering a record amount of misspent taxpayer money.
“I’m prepared to run a strong reelection campaign,” White said. “My family and I have a great body of work to talk about on the campaign trail this year, and I look forward to telling the voters about the progress we’ve made stopping corruption and protecting their money.”
White added that he currently has $1.3 million on hand in preparation for this year’s elections with primaries set for August 8.
