JACKSON, Miss. – The application period to hunt alligators in Mississippi public waters has officially opened.
Applications are free and must be completed online by June 9. In order to qualify you must be at least 16-years-old, have a valid Mississippi hunting license and be a resident of the state.
Gator hunting enthusiasts who are selected to get a permit must attend, or have previously attended, the Mississippi Alligator Hunting Training Course.
