STARKVILLE, Miss. — The search is ongoing for a man from Starkville on the Alabama coast. This past Saturday John Switzer went out on a kayak near Gulf Shores to go fishing and never came back.
Tuesday morning, his kayak was found by the U.S. Coast Guard between Dauphin Island and Petit Bois Island, but there was no sign of Switzer.
Switzer, 24, has brown hair and brown eyes, stands 6 feet 1 inch and weighs about 183 pounds.
Both the U.S. Coast Guard and Gulf Shores detectives are investigating.
