PICAYUNE, Miss. – A standoff in Picayune Thursday afternoon ended with one man behind bars.
Picayune police forced their way into the house and used tear gas to take the guy down.
Officials with the Picayune Police Department told WLOX, it all started with a routine traffic stop Thursday morning when they tried to pull Joseph Summerall over. Summerall wouldn’t stop, drove to his house and barricaded himself in the home.
The 28-year-old was the only person in the house. Officers said he has some outstanding warrants with the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
