With less than a month until November 5th’s election, Tate Reeves (R) and Jim Hood (D) will take the stage in Hattiesburg tonight for the first of two gubernatorial debates.
The two candidates have taken jabs at each other from afar on the campaign trail, but tonight, they’ll stand shoulder-to-shoulder as they answer questions related to their views on Mississippi’s economy, healthcare, education, infrastructure and much more.
The hour-long debate, hosted by WJTV, will begin at 7 p.m. from the Thad Cochran Center at Southern Miss. It will be moderated by WJTV’s Byron Brown and WREG’s Greg Hurst.
In addition to the moderators’ questions, Reeves and Hood will answer pre-taped questions from Southern Miss students.
The debate will also be aired on select SuperTalk Mississippi stations as well as online at supertalk.fm.
