FLOWOOD, Miss.- The St. Jude dream home has been given to it’s winners, Sid and Beth Scarbrough.
The Scarbroughs were two of many who paid $100 for a ticket to win the 3,300 square foot home in Indian Creek in Flowood.
This was the Scarbrough’s fourth year to enter the drawing and in an attempt to not jinx themselves they didn’t even attend the winner’s drawing. They were at a birthday party when they heard the good news.
Sid told WLBT his phone started blowing up with messages saying congratulations and he didn’t know what it meant. He then put two and two together and told his brother-in-law he must have won the house.
The Scarbrough’s run an assisted living facility and live about 24 miles from the new house. They haven’t decided yet if they will move from their home of 20 years to the knew place but they say the offer is tempting.
The couple has been supporting St. Jude Children’s Hospital for 12 years through fund raisers.
