MERIDIAN, Miss.–If you’ve ever been to Meridian and visited the Sports Connection, The Snack Shack or The New Place, then you’ve been where the feds were looking into illegal gambling. Now eight people have had the cuffs slapped on them after federal indictments.
The places were seen being raided earlier this year and this is what it was all about.
The U.S. Attorney’s office said there was sports betting and illegal gambling machines on the property.
The government wiill likely be able to seize all the equipment and is also looking for over $125,000 in cash.
