JACKSON, Miss.–Southwest Airlines announced on Thursday that they’ll be pulling service out of Jackson in June.
In a press release a company spokesman explained the reason.
“These decisions are never easy. Unfortunately, the level of local demand no longer allows Southwest to profitably serve these markets,” said Southwest’s Chief Commercial Officer Bob Jordan.
If you have a reservation before June 7, 2014 with the airline out of Jackson-Evers you’ll be fine and the airline says they’ll have a normal schedule until then.
They started service in Jackson in 1997.
