The Southern Miss Golden Eagles Baseball team has defeated Charlotte in the first of two games they will play against the 49ers Saturday.
A walk-off homer for Taylor Braley helped secure the 6-5 win.
The Eagles will face the 49ers again at 7:30pm Saturday at MGM Park in Biloxi. They’ll need to defeat them again in order to advance to the championship against Rice.
