AMORY, MISS– When police arrived at the Walmart in Amory to investigate another crime, a smell tipped them off to a drug bust.
Jatarvis Vasser got out of his car at the store, and police say they smelled weed. After trying to arrest Vasser, he took off running. Officers caught up to him at the AT&T nearby, where he was caught.
There was meth, pot, and an assault rifle in the car, as well as over a grand in cash.
Vasser is waiting to see the judge, reports WTVA.
