TUPELO, Miss.–A car making a cross-county trip at high speeds zoomed through Shannon, then Verona, then into Tupelo. What stopped the car was slamming into two businesses.
It happened Monday, reported WTVA. An off-duty constable first spotted the car in Shannon and called it in. Officers started chasing it in Verona, but it was going so fast they couldn’t get it to pull over.
When the car made it into Tupelo, it slammed into Costume World on South Gloster St., and Money Now Titles.
The driver was hurt and went to the hospital. Both businesses were also hurt. The title place fared better than the costume shop.
