CVS is bolstering the state’s distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Starting today, Mississippians can begin signing up for vaccinations at six CVS locations across the state. According to the pharmacy chain, the locations are in Jackson, Pontotoc, Hinds (2 stores), Rankin, Madison and Desoto.
Patients must register in advance at CVS.com or through the CVS Pharmacy app, and those without online access can contact CVS Customer Service: (800) 746-7287. Walk-in vaccinations without an appointment will not be provided.
Vaccinations will begin on Sunday, March 21.
The six sites in Mississippi are part of an initial 1,300 CVS locations in 35 states and Puerto Rico where the vaccine will be administered. Eventually, more locations will be added, according to the company, with the capacity to administer 20–25 million shots per month.
