Singing River Health System (SRHS) is set to unveil a new state-of-the-art endoscopy center in Gulfport on Tuesday.
The facility will feature 17 pre/post-op bays, four endoscopy rooms, and an advanced interventional endoscopy room. Equipped with Olympus technology, the clinic is expected to provide more accurate and earlier diagnoses. It will also offer up to 30 gastrointestinal procedures as SRHS officials say the goal is to eliminate the need for patients to seek services elsewhere.
“The new Endoscopy Center marks a significant milestone in enhancing the accessibility and quality of healthcare in our region,” SRHS gastroenterologist Dr. Eric Plott said. “The cutting-edge technology enables us to navigate the complexities of the gastrointestinal system with exceptional accuracy, ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care available.”
A ribbon-cutting for the endoscopy center will be held at noon at the Singing River Gulfport Hospital. The community is invited to attend as there will be opportunities to explore the new center, meet with healthcare providers, and learn about the services being offered.
