JACKSON COUNTY, Miss.- Jackson County supervisors this morning called for the resignation of every member of the Singing River Health System’s Board of Trustees.
The board of supervisors called for the resignations during Monday’s meeting in a unanimous vote. Supervisors asked every trustee to resign immediately to restore faith in the health system. This comes after much controversy over its handling of an employee pension plan.
One trustee resigned earlier this month after his residency was questioned. Supervisors said at that time that they would be investigating the residency of all trustee members.
