The Sign To Help You Remember: Officer Keith Alan Crenshaw Memorial Highway Dedicated

EUPORA, Miss.–Officer Keith Crenshaw had a passion for law enforcement and protecting his community of Eupora. That’s exactly what he died doing, Thursday a part of Hwy. 82 was named in his honor.

That’s exactly where Crenshaw was killed in October 2013, when he was run down by a car with bank robbers inside. The men were running from deputies, MHP and city police after they robbed a bank in Eupora, fled to Grenada, then turned around and headed back.

Crenshaw was putting out a spike strip, on his day off, no less.

It’s losing a brother, losing a friend and losing a comrade,” said Webster County Deputy Jimmy Forrester. He spoke with WTVA TV at the dedication ceremony.

Crenshaw had six kids and five grand kids.

His family said he would not have changed a thing, even if he had it to do all over again.

Two of the bank robbers also died when they crashed after hitting Crenshaw.

Crenshaw was honored at annual fallen officers ceremonies earlier this year.
