TIPPAH COUNTY, Miss.–Tippah County may not be an area that most Mississippians associate with gun violence, but it happened there Sunday, according to WTVA TV, and one person died.
There were not many details being released by authorities, but the shooting was just before 7 p.m. in the Walnut Lake area, said the county’s coroner.
Coroner Chad Bateman told the TV station that a person was being held by police but had not been charged and that more info was expected to be released Monday.
