FOREST, Miss.–A shooting Sunday night in Forest has left Freda Lockett, 39, dead, and three other people hurt. It happened about 9:30 p.m. during a large gathering. That turned into a fight and the fight ended with the shooting.
Forest Police were still trying to find out Monday just what started the fracas and had not announced arrests. They were interviewing people who were at the gathering.
At least one of the people hurt was at UMMC in Jackson. What happened to the others and whether or not they were shot was unclear.
