Severe weather is on the docket for much of Mississippi today.
A strong storm system will bring thunderstorms to the area Monday afternoon and evening. Damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat, and a few tornadoes will be possible.
For the western portion of Mississippi, the biggest threat will be between 1pm and 7pm, and the Eastern portion of Mississippi could start acting up between 5pm and 11pm.
Tuesday clears up during the day, but more severe weather is possible for Tuesday evening with sporadic showers also in play for Wednesday.
As far as temperatures are concerned–upper 60’s for North Mississippi, upper 70’s for Central and South Mississippi. Overnight lows in the 40’s for North Mississippi, 50’s for Central Mississippi, and 60’s for South Mississippi.
