YAZOO CITY, Miss.–On the five-year anniversary on one of Mississippi’s largest tornadoes ever, more severe weather, and possibly twisters, are possible again, especially over the Mississippi Delta.
“Typical kind of spring time stuff,” said Brad Bryant, a National Weather Service meteorologist. “High winds and hail are the main risks, but depending how the situation evolves, tornadoes are possible.”

He said the Delta is under the greatest risk, in the evening and overnight hours.
“It’s not looking like a situation where it’s gonna be a major outbreak, or anything like that, but there could be some severe weather and we’ll have to watch out for tornadoes.”
He said there also may be some flash flooding issues, as some areas are expected to get several rounds of rain.
