Jackson, Miss– The warm temps bring severe weather to Mississippi. Here’s the latest. North Mississippi, especially from Greenville over to Columbus and down into the central part of the state, you’re looking at a significant risk of tornadoes, high winds, hail and rain today. Highs getting into the low 70’s, dropping into the 50’s when that severe weather rolls in.
Central Mississippi, from Vicksburg, over to Abderdeen, down through Natchez and Hattiesburg, afternoon tornadoes possible, high’s in the upper 70’s.
Christmas Eve it’s wet weather again. Thunderstorms and heavy rain are possible statewide, with warmer than usual temperatures. Mid 70’s for the high in North Mississippi, upper 70’s central and south.
You can expect this weather all through the week, even Christmas Day, high’s in the 70’s and storming again, and the storms will last through the weekend.
