Another round of showers and thunderstorms is possible before a weak cold front moves through the forecast area this evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, some storms could become strong to severe this afternoon and evening, especially over southern and southeastern portions of Mississippi.
Damaging wind gusts will be the primary hazard, but isolated hail will also be possible.
