LOS ANGELES, California– “Hilarity for Charity,” an organization started by funny man Seth Rogen and his wife, Lauren, is setting out to help alzheimer’s patients by giving them free care. Mississippians can still apply.
Lauren Rogen’s grandfather, grandmother, and now mother have all battled alzheimer’s throughout their lives. It is that inspiration that started Hilarity For Charity.
“Throughout the years I started realizing how many young people didn’t understand alzheimer’s,” says Lauren in a written statement, “so we’re trying to build awareness, which will hopefully lead to money, research, and care.”
Initial grants from the organization rolled out this week, providing 6,000 hours of free care to alzheimer’s patients.
Hilarity for Charity has teamed up with Home Instead, a home health company. Mississippians living with alzheimer’s, or their families, can contact Home Instead to apply for these grants.
