WASHINGTON, D.C.- Wilbur Ross has been nominated for President-Elect Trump’s Secretary of Commerce. U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, R-Miss, questioned him at a hearing Wednesday.
Wicker who is a senior member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee Asked Ross about the importance of foreign investment, the development of broadband infrastructure, and cutting through bureaucratic red tape.
Wicker stated his support for Mr. Ross after meeting with him last month and discussing ways to create jobs and spur economic development.
Mr. Ross has a record of supporting U.S. production and jobs for American workers, and saving companies and jobs. He believes that cutting taxes for working Americans and reducing government regulations will help the economy thrive.
