For the second time in two weeks, there’s been a shooting at a nightclub in the Golden Triangle.
Columbus police report that one person was the victim of gunfire at Club Ada on Sunday morning. Officers responded to the scene around 1 a.m. and were informed that the unidentified male shooting victim had been taken to the hospital by a private vehicle.
A Good Samaritan at the club is said to have seen the man standing beside a vehicle outside of the club while bleeding profusely and transported him to a local hospital to receive medical care.
No other injuries were reported in the incident. Police say they have a suspect of interest in the case.
Another nightclub shooting took place about 25 miles away in West Point two weeks before the incident in Columbus. The fatal occurrence at Club Oasis on March 3 left 20-year-old Taleese Chandler deceased and 12 others injured.
