Four of five inmates who escaped the Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility on Sunday are back in custody.
According to the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office, Marlon Willis was captured in Silver City while Marcus Green and Deliuwon Stowers were captured in Yazoo City. That leaves Glen Bassett as the last escapee at large.
On Sunday at 11:38 p.m., deputies were driving up to the jail when they noticed an inmate running back into the facility through the fence. Deputies then informed correctional officers of what they saw, spurring a headcount. That’s when they noticed five inmates missing.
While one of the inmates was captured immediately – their name has not yet been released by authorities – four of the other five were arrested on Monday and are expected to face additional charges.
Bassett, a native of Yazoo City, is described as a Black man with short black hair standing at 6’1” and weighing 190 pounds. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, call (662)746-0014.
