A second arrest has been made after more than two dozen “severely malnourished” dogs were found at a Corinth home earlier this week.
Sondra Bullard joined Jonathan Hurst on Wednesday in facing charges in the mass animal cruelty case. According to law enforcement, they arrived at Hurst’s home on Sunday and discovered around eight unhealthy dogs outside the property and at least 20 canines inside the home on Pleasant Grove Road.
Hurst, who has since bonded out, was charged with 27 counts of animal cruelty. Bullard, the fiancé of Hurst, is facing the same number of charges as it’s unclear if she is still behind bars at this time or not.
Authorities added that at least one dog was found dead. The Corinth-Alcorn Animal Shelter is assisting in taking care of the animals that survived. Donations to support the shelter can be made here.
