The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended its search for a shrimper who went missing off the coast of Biloxi.
After 37 hours of scanning the waters with three boats, a helicopter, and an airplane, the USCG announced Monday night that the search had been called off. Officials covered 1,032 square nautical miles but to no avail as the 75-year-old man was not located.
Reports of a person in the water after a boat sunk near Deer Island first came in Sunday around 11 a.m.
