GREENE COUNTY, Miss.–A sandbar disappeared in the Chickasaway River Saturday and along with it, two twin six-year-old boys who were on it, according to the Red Cross from the coast. The body of one of those twins was found about 6 p.m. Sunday as a prayer vigil was held by friends and family. The other body was found Monday morning.
Very little official info had come from the sheriff’s department in Greene County, as most officers were said to be occupied with the search effort, along with volunteers, who were being assisted by the Red Cross with food and beverages as the work went on.
There was a prayer vigil Sunday for the boys, attended by family and friends.
