JACKSON, Miss.–The first Sanderson Farms PGA Championship held in the capital city sent Nick Taylor back to British Columbia as winner. News Mississippi’s Dixon Williams reported Taylor earned $270,000.
This was actually Taylor’s very first PGA championship. He was 16 under par for the tournament.
“Being able to pick schedule and pick where I want to play and know where I want to play and obviously now it’s very surreal,” said Taylor.
He now plans to take advantage of winning as a rookie and get into as many PGA tournaments as possible.
The event was held at the Jackson Country Club for the first time this year.
