JACKSON, Miss. — It’s round two in the race to be your next state representative on the coast where a college student on the ballot.
21-year-old Jeramey Anderson goes to Tulane University and is taking on ex-Moss Point Mayor Anneice Liddell in Tuesday’s runoff. The winner gets the House seat Billy Broomfield use to hold, but gave up to be Mayor of Moss Point.
And in North Mississippi, ex-Holly Springs Mayor Andre DeBerry is up against political newcomer and youth court counselor John Faulker. The House District seat they are vying for was given up by Kelvin Buck when he was elected Mayor of Holly Springs.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
