PASCAGOULA, Miss. – City leaders will be on hand Friday to celebrate the re-opening of River Park at Lowry Island.
This marks the completion of phase two of the project, with is said to cost around $3.6 million. Changes include a new parking lot, sidewalks, renovated boat ramp, fuel dock, new landscaping and lighting, as well as a designated dog park.
Funds were appropriated through the Katrina Recovery Community Development Block Grant and Tidelands funding.
A ribbon cutting ceremony is set for 4 p.m.
