WATER VALLY, Miss. — There is no school today at Davidson Elementary.
The students there have the hard task of saying goodbye this afternoon to their principal. Dr. Carol Gary and her 12 year old son Patrick Gary were shot and killed at their Oxford home last week. Gary’s oldest son, Regis Mister is charged in their deaths. Visitation for the Garys is Friday afternoon in Grenada. Their funeral, Saturday in Water Valley.
The staff of Davidson Elementary has set up a scholarship in Dr. Gary’s name. They say it will be given to the student who embodies her characteristics, including compassion and drive.
