Reeves orders flags be flown at half-staff in honor of Kennis Croom

Flags across Mississippi will fly at half-staff on Thursday in honor of Meridian police officer Kennis Croom, who was killed in the line of duty last week.

Governor Tate Reeves issued the order on Wednesday afternoon, announcing that the day will be a time of mourning for the fallen officer.


Croom’s memorial service is set for at 1 p.m. at the Meridian High School Gym with the viewing service scheduled the following day from 12-4 p.m. at the Northport Funeral and Cremation Services.
