Governor Tate Reeves has declared a state of emergency in preparation and response to Tropical Storm Sally, which is expected to make landfall on Tuesday.

Current predictions indicate Sally will make landfall near Port Sulfer, Louisiana, on Tuesday morning, which positions Mississippi on the east side of the storm.  Torrential rainfall, flash flooding, storm surge, and spin up tornados are a high probability.

The Governor, Colonel Greg Michel of the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, and Major General Jansen Boyles of the Mississippi National Guard briefed the public Sunday on the current forecast of the storm.  You can watch the press conference below.
