The SEC has announced the two additional opponents for each team following the conference’s decision to move to a 10-game, conference-only schedule for 2020.
While the complete schedule will drop sometime next week, Ole Miss and Mississippi State know the two additional SEC East foes that will land on their respective schedules for the upcoming season.
During a reveal on the SEC Network, it was announced that Lane Kiffin and the Rebels will travel to Kentucky and host South Carolina. The Rebels’ previously announced SEC East matchups include Vanderbilt on the road and a home game against Flordia.
For Mike Leach and the Bulldogs, their additions include a trip to Athens to take on Georgia and they’ll host Vanderbilt. Mississippi State was already scheduled to visit Kentucky and host Missouri in 2020.
As for attendance inside of Mississippi college football stadiums when the season begins on September 26th, a current executive order issued by the governor allows for 25% capacity. Earlier today, MSU President Dr. Mark Keenum said that he believes they could “easily and adequately” accommodate up to 50% capacity while maintaining the ability to enforce proper social distancing protocols at Davis Wade Stadium.
