The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department (DCSD) is recognizing the successful training of two new Southaven K-9 Officers.
DCSD Lt. Paul Leslie has worked with Southaven Officer Michael Murphy and K-9 Yarkos & Southaven Officer Shea Chism and K-9 Nico since May, getting them certified and ready to serve & protect.
Lt. Leslie has been with the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department for nearly 20 years and has been involved with the K-9 division for almost 15 years.
In a Facebook post, the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department said, “Lt. Leslie does an excellent job in training handlers & their K-9’s all across the Southeast region. Nice work Lt. Leslie & congratulations to Southaven Officers Murphy/Yarkos & Chism/Nico.”
