JACKSON, MISS— As many are picking up the pieces from the weekend’s storms, more severe weather could threaten the Magnolia State.
“We are expecting additional showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and into early evening,” says JoAnn Culin with the National Weather Service. Culin says those storms could bring hail, wind, and lightning to parts of the state east of interstate 55.
As far as tornadoes go, Culin says they’re not expecting them.
“But you can never completely rule them out,” warns Culin.
